Cleaning the IBTS

We use a jet of air to protect the Infrared Bean Temperature Sensor (IBTS) from dirt and grime. But it is still possible for some build-up to occur, particularly if you roast large batches past second crack. This build-up can affect temperature readings, making them less accurate. That’s why the first sign that you may need to clean the IBTS is usually a change in your first crack temperatures.
